Warehouse Coordinator

As Warehouse Coordinator in this position, you will work at our Expedition department. Within that department, you are responsible for safe, correct, timely and efficient execution of operational processes. As a coordinator, you are a collaborative leader. You are involved in day-to-day operations and work with your team members to achieve goals. You will work in our Expedition team of 3 other colleagues.

What will you do?
- You manage the daily warehouse processes.
- Are very quality-driven and expect this from your employees.
- You train, lead and supervise colleagues and prioritise work assignments.
- Direct, monitor and supervise the expedition team to ensure productivity meets and/or exceeds warehouse and operational targets.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Teamleader to identify creative process changes to improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain positive relationships and communication with other departments and employees.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with all departmental procedures and regulations
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report problems to the Warehouse Teamleader in a timely manner.
- Checking hours worked of temporary employees and performing simple administrative tasks.
- Maintaining a 7s work environment and ensuring employees work according to safety regulations.
- Leading the "Huddle board" meetings every morning (Lean methodology)
- Monitoring performance (in relevant areas) against agreed KPIs and initiating improvement activities when necessary using the " Huddle Board" and Lean Methodology.
- Provide feedback on the performance of new employees (temporary employees to Temps Agency and Helly Staff to team leader).
- Preparing performance appraisals for departmental employees. Performance appraisals are conducted by Teamleader and coordinator.

What do you need?
- MBO+ work and thinking level
- Several years of experience in logistics function, preferably at expedition
- MS Office knowledge
- Fluent in English (Dutch is preferred but not required)
- The ability to work in a hectic environment with tight deadlines
- Eager to learn
- Team player

Pay: €3.500,00 - €4.000,00 per month
