**The International School of The Hague** is a highly successful, innovative and energetic school located in a state-of-the-art building in an area of natural beauty in the city of The Hague in The Netherlands. The school is made up of a Primary School and a Secondary school, each receiving government funding as well as private fees as Dutch International Schools. The two schools work together as one school with a shared vision and mission as part of the Rijnlands Lyceum foundation. The whole school currently has around 2000 students (1400 in Secondary) with over 100 nationalities taught by teachers from around the world.

**Receptionist (0.8 FTE)**:
Start date: as soon as possible

We are seeking a friendly and professional **Receptionist** to join our Reception and Secondary Office team on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors. Reporting to the Secondary Office Manager, you will work closely with a small team of three colleagues, rotating responsibilities throughout the week. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, as you will collaborate to ensure smooth operations and deliver exceptional service to our school community.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Registering visitors and welcome them
- Answering and transferring telephone calls to the different departments in the school
- Register students in iSams, the school’s registration system
- Prepares Lates and Absences reports
- Follows up with teachers on the registration of lates and absences
- Receiving incoming parcels delivered
- Coordinate with the Primary Office and Secondary Office when it comes to student related matters
- All other general related duties to reception work

**Key Requirements**:

- Strong interpersonal and administrative skills
- Proficiency in computer systems (Google, Gmail, Microsoft Suite)
- Fluent in Dutch and English (native level for English)
- Knowledge of educational institutions and procedures
- Stress-resistance and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in the Netherlands without visa sponsorship

We offer an exciting opportunity to join a respected international school. The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of becoming permanent if conditions are met.

The position follows the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO) for Secondary Education, scale 4. For full-time (40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE) the salary ranges from € 2136 to € 2961 gross per month, depending on your experience and background. Additional benefits include an 8% holiday allowance, an 8.33% year-end bonus, extra support staff bonuses, travel expense contributions, and participation in the ABP pension scheme.
