**Data Modeler - Long-Term - Amsterdam, Hybrid**

Levy Professionals is currently looking for Data Modelers with experience in financial and risk/regulatory reporting environments for one of our key client in the banking industry. You will have the opportunity to act as a liaison between business analysts and the development team to define, develop, and maintain conceptual and logical and models, and support business terms creation/definition within the glossary hierarchy.

From understanding end-user requirements and identifying business needs to identifying golden sources for each business terms, to modelling these terms and creating sources to target mappings and find implementation with developers, you will be involved in the end-to-end development of new solutions within the finance and risk data warehouse of the business.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Data Modeler, these will be your responsibilities:

- Refine requirements and translate them into business terms and conceptual/logical models,
- Deliver according to the agreed principles and quality criteria: logical data model, mapping of logical data model with data requirements, business terms definition, physical data models and documentation,
- Responsible of creation of source to requirements mappings for the business terms defined by the business analysts and source to target mappings for the logical & physical model,
- Provide ongoing support to data engineer during development phase,
- Report on the process and communication to stakeholders,
- Promote and support the usage of the data models in the organization (not only for DWH),
- Set up and maintain way of working, design principles, standards and guidelines for Data Modelling,
- Collaborates with programmers, testers, other development teams and business users,
- Accurately and concisely articulate issues, questions, recommendations to customers, team members, and management. Proactively identify issues and concerns
- Provides training, documentation and support for business user and other support lines.

**Who are you?**
- 6 to 8 years minimum of experience in data modelling roles, preferably in data warehousing and/or reporting environments,
- Domain knowledge of financial industry and experience in risk and/or finance regulatory reporting (FINREP, COREP, CRLTP, ESG, MIFID, Liquidity Reporting, MIS Valuation, Customer Profitability, EMIR, SFTR),
- Working knowledge on Plant UML for class modelling (Good to have),
- Strong communication skills to effectively manage and interact with all stakeholders involved in the remediation of the issues,
- Analytical mindset to solve complex challenges and recognize the importance of Data Issue Management.
