**Your job**:
As our Market Risk Intern, you will support the Market Risk in the Banking Book team at ABN AMRO. You will assist in assessing market risk exposure, including interest rate risk, credit spread risk, and foreign exchange risk. You will contribute to the ongoing processes and help with the preparation of risk management reports. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the validation of market risk reports and helping to communicate findings to management and stakeholders;
- Assisting in the review of proposals from the Assets & Liability Management (ALM) and Treasury department;
- Collaborating with other departments such as ALM/Treasury, Modelling, Reporting, and the Grid (change implementation teams).
In addition, you will get the opportunity to participate in ah hoc projects, working closely together with other departments within the bank such as Asset and Liability management and Treasury, Modelling or ALM Grid. You will acquire knowledge of market risk concepts and bank specific products and are able to widen your general knowledge of risk management activities within ABN AMRO.
**Your profile**:
- University education (Bachelor or Master degree);
- A natural feeling for finance and/or risk management. A finance or economics master is, however, not a prerequisite and we welcome students with different backgrounds, e.g. in econometrics, engineering, physics, mathematics or social sciences;
- Relevant extracurricular experience and/or experience abroad;
- No more than one year of work experience;
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing (we offer support to employees with reading disabilities such as dyslexia);
- Natural team player embracing diversity with a willingness to work hard to get the job done.
