**Buyer**
In this role, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of goods and/or services across various locations, including mills, factories, and offices. It's up to you to strategically increase purchasing through a long-term strategy for the category, provide direction and encourage proactivity with your stakeholders. In parallel you will execute procurement tactical tasks according to your strategy while ensuring data management, continuous improvement and realizing savings by proper contract management.

**What You Will Do**
- Manage risk and lead negotiations for all local categories across locations, using appropriate e-sourcing tools and techniques;
- Ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place in accordance with procurement policies and procedures;
- Support (Procurement) stakeholders to drive continuous improvement through cost-saving projects, organizing trials, implementing supplier changes, and tracking savings;
- Ensure compliance with Essity procedures, purchasing policy, and financial instructions and align and communicate this actively with your stakeholders;
- Actively exchange best practices within the buyer team s across Europe (and beyond) and identify and execute saving initiatives;
- Highlight opportunities to bundle and contract volumes and regularly review buying channel mapping for the local categories;
- Build sustainable relationships with suppliers;
- Ensure high quality data and maintain an up-to-date price list (Contract/ Catalog /Purchase Info Records) for local suppliers;
- Signal and escalate system/process issues to Procurement Excellence to ensure continuous improvement.

**Who You Are**
For this role, we are looking for someone preferably with a technical and/or commercial background. Proficiency in English is a must.
