The Handyman/Technician plays a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating and performing maintenance activities, small repairs, moves and logistics, ensuring supplier and sub-contractor compliance with HSSE and Safe System of Work across the client's portfolio in country.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Escort and brief engineers and supplier maintenance staff where required.
Contributes to improvements for preventive maintenance programmes on an on-going basis.
Self-delivery of PPM’s where the required expertise is appropriate.
Contributes to maintenance of effective Asset specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals and ensures compliance.
Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and engineers.
Contributes to overseeing of all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues.
Administers all equipment and construction warranties with respect to defect liability period.
Responds quickly to emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
Assists in maintenance/engineering issues as required.
Implements and administers inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies.
Ensures compliance with applicable codes, regulations, government agency and company directives as relates to building operations.
Conducts regular inspections of operating mechanical, electrical and equipment systems; recommends and oversees necessary adjustments to operating equipment and controls.
Contributes to implementing of preventive maintenance programs and recommending improvements to existing programs on an on-going basis.
Be adaptable and flexible to assist the client when required.
Collaborate with the wider team to identify opportunities for improving technical service delivery and enhancing the workplace service experience.
Strive for continuous improvement by implementing service enhancements, reducing utility usage, increasing productivity, and delivering efficiencies.
