**Your Mission and main responsibilities**:
The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day controlling and reporting of activities related to the financial administration of real estate investments in The Netherlands. You are responsible for the financial management of investment structures of real estate properties as well as the financial reporting, local statutory compliance process and coordination of corporate administration issues.
- You are the main point of contact towards our clients´ Asset Managers and Portfolio Managers.
- You assist in the incorporation of the real estate companies, and are responsible for their active administration, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- You coordinate external advisors (e.g. auditors, SPV accounting teams, etc.).
- You monitor the local statutory compliance of real estate companies, as well as compliance within the Dutch Investment legislation and any internal/external policies.
- You handle corporate issues throughout the international holding structures of real estate investments owned by Investment Management Companies (distributions, capital increases, conversion of companies).
- You’re responsible for the reporting to the client and/or fund accounting team.
- You review the figures and reporting provided to you by your accounting colleagues and support them with more difficult accounting or finance issues if applicable.
- You’re responsible for other controlling activities such as the budgeting process and coordinating information flows between several external and internal parties.
- You’ll participate in project groups together with colleagues from other countries.
**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
- +6 years of experience in a finance or audit department (ideally in a "big four") with proven outstanding financial skills
- Background and relevant experience in real estate companies and real estate investment funds will be highly considered.
- Background in and good understanding of Dutch Accounting and Tax
- Knowledge generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information
- Experience with automated accounting and financial management systems
- Self-confidence, open personality and ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Solution oriented, accurate and proactive
- Fluent English and Dutch both verbal and in writing
