**Purpose of the Role**

Carrying out lab activities /peptide synthesis

**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute lab activities related to projects.
- Carrying out reaction using Standardized Reaction Procedures for internal and external customers (e.g. disulfide oxidation, maleimido/thiol, nhs esters and CLIPS’ing).
- Assist in preparative processes in peptide synthesis (e.g. stock/synthesizer preparation for peptide synthesis, cleavage).
- Execute purifications on p-HPLC, and analyze the fractions on UPLC-MS.
- Employee work in accordance with the installed ISO 9001 quality system and, if applicable, work in accordance with GMP-API (incl. good housekeeping) - and ensures products and analytical results are accurate and reliable for reporting purposes.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Understand MW calculations and can understand analyzed crude peptide data independently.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BSc in related field (e.g.chemistry or equivalent)
- Good practical and theoretical knowledge of relevant discipline
- Excellent knowledge of English verbal and written.
- Software skills, e.g., Office
- Collaborative work style.
- Results-oriented mindset: solution-focused attitude; ability to recognize potential problems; capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the go.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.
- Hands-on mentality.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of SAP, Intrexx would be beneficial but not essential
