Hoe zou jij het vinden om de Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) werkgroep II te ondersteunen in hun missie om de wereld te adviseren over de ontwikkeling van klimaatbeleid?
Taken
Als assistent administratie verzorg jij de administratieve ondersteuning aan de covoorzitters van Werkgroep II en de Technical Support Unit (TSU). Jouw collega's zijn verantwoordelijk voor het IPCC rapport over de gevolgen van klimaatverandering voor mens en natuur, de kwetsbaarheden en de mogelijkheden om ons aan te passen aan klimaatverandering. Een zeer belangrijke taak en daarbij hoort professionele ondersteuning die hen kan ontzorgen.
Jouw rol is veelvoudig. Je fungeert als office manager en daarnaast ondersteun je het procesmanagement van de rapportproductie. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van de lokale logistiek en bent het aanspreekpunt naar Deltares over administratieve en financiële zaken. Hieronder vind je de belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

- Secretariële en administratieve ondersteuning aan het TSU team en aan de covoorzitters Bart van den Hurk en Winston Chow.
- Organiseren van internationale reizen van teamleden;
- Het assisteren van het hoofd van de TSU (Melinda Tignor), met de boekhoudkundige processen, waaronder het opstellen van jaarbudgetten, financiële rapporten en het onderhouden van kostencontroles;
- Waar mogelijk assistentie verlenen bij het beheer van het rapportageproces (planning, contacten met externe diensten, logistiek van het herzienings-/versiecontroleproces).

Je werkt nauw samen met het team en je collega administratief medewerker in Singapore om alle producten en activiteiten van de werkgroep te ondersteunen.
Vereisten
Je bent een ervaren (+3 jaar) administratief assistent die goed kan omgaan met deadlines en graag werkt in een internationale omgeving. Bijvoorkeur al ervaring in werken in een internationaal team. Daarnaast vragen wij:

- Ervaring in office support;
- Ervaring met het invullen en archiveren van documenten, het voorbereiden en redigeren van documentatie;
- Plezier in organiseren van vergaderingen en meetings;
- Vaardigheid in mondeling en schriftelijk Engels en Nederlands.

Tot slot, door het internationale karakter ben je bereid om internationaal te reizen.

Dit is een parttime (16-24 uur) contract voor bepaalde tijd voor de duur van de zevende beoordelingscyclus van het IPCC; gepland is 4-6 jaar. De precieze duur van de cyclus en de arbeidsovereenkomst is in afwachting van een besluit over de AR7 tijdlijn door het IPCC Panel (begin 2025). De positie wordt gefinancierd door de Nederlandse overheid en de arbeidsvoorwaarden (bijv. salarisschalen, verzekeringen en andere voordelen) zijn via Deltares.

Over de IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit
Het Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) begint aan haar zevende beoordelingscyclus. De werkgroep II Technical Support Unit (TSU), die de wetenschappelijke, technische en organisatorische ondersteuning biedt voor de activiteiten en producten van de werkgroep die zich richt op de gevolgen, aanpassing en kwetsbaarheid van klimaatverandering, is gevestigd bij Deltares in Nederland en aan de Singapore Management University in Singapore.
