**What will you do?**
The QHSE department supports and advises Bredenoord in the field of quality, health & safety and environment. The organisation is working hard to raise the safety of our employees to a higher level. To this end, we have started a safety culture programme, conducted a new RI&E (Risk Inventarisation and evaluation), and implemented “Stoffenmanager” (software to manage exposure to hazardous substances) to get a picture of the use of hazardous substances. In the past year, we have already replaced many of the hazardous substances with more environmentally and people-friendly variants. However, for the remaining hazardous substances the level of exposure needs to be assessed and investigated whether it falls within the legal requirements.

Your tasks during the internship will consist of:

- Conducting workplace assessments for risks and exposure to hazardous substances;
- Make improvement proposals and implement those where possible;
- Enter the results of the assessments in “Stoffenmanager”, which calculates the exposure;
- Develop a method for future workplace assessments that allows assessments to be done by Bredenoord on a frequent basis;
- Document other specific hazards that emerge during the assessments and, if possible, propose improvements for these hazards.

The workplace assessments need to be carried out on the shop floors at all our depots in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, and preferably on site at customers’ premises for service engineers and truck drivers. However, this can also be simulated in the depots. This means you will travel to all our different depots for a few days each. You can use the company car to travel and hotel stays will be arranged. Your internship supervisor will be the Manager QHSE, who is located at the headquarters in Apeldoorn. You can work from one of our depots or from home on the days you don’t carry out assessments.

**Your profile**

- You are a Bachelor student in Safety & Security Management, Safety Science or Safety Management;
- You have good English communication skills, German or Dutch is useful to communicate with colleagues on the work floor;
- You know how to work with MS Office;
- You are independent, curious and have cultural awareness;
- You have a driver’s license.
