The beating heart of Hotel V is The Lobby, an unique location where Amsterdam residents and internationals come together. The Lobby stands for good food, good drinks and pure hospitality. The best city vibes come together at the bar, at the table, on your plate and in your glass. The Lobby has an international kitchen, where both a la carte and a menu up to 4 courses is served, with a constantly changing wine selection. There are 80 seats and the restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The changing wine list is strongly oriented towards mainly old world wines. The wine list includes 120 different types of wine in low circulation from often smaller wineries, of which 25 wines can also be ordered by the glass. For the truly intimate, there is the 'dirty book' with various trouvailles for great prices.

**About the job**

For The Lobby we are looking for a Junior Sommelier with extensive wine knowledge and a great passion for the job.
- You are co-responsible for selecting and recommending wines to guests;
- You will be co-tasting and working with the Wine Director;
- You will be responsible for wine management: stock take, orders and storage management;
- You will maintain the wine list;
- You will organize and provide in-house training to staff;

**About you**

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Sommelier with solid relevant work experience. You will be responsible for the evening as far as wine is concerned, so we expect complete independence. You will give guests wine and food advice and have no problem working in the service when necessary; our core team consists of professionals with passion and experience and there is a nice, informal working atmosphere. Ensuring, improving and continuing the quality and service is a matter of course for you.

- Want to work full time in four days: you run both lunch and dinner on a working day;
- Are available at least one weekend day per week;
- Are reasonably flexible in days and times around a basic schedule;
