As we grow, the supply of talent must keep pace and critical to our success is the Technology Assessment and Strategy Intern.

**Your role**

As a member of the Technology Assessment and Strategy team, you will take part in improving our core venture building process. This includes technology sourcing, IP evaluation, venture deal terms and capturing all levels of our knowledge in a format that enables all parts of the organisation to benefit from it. Contribute to the improvement and expansion of NLC's existing (automated) processes to source and assess new, early stage technologies in the healthcare industry.

Examples of relevant previous projects are:

- A decision support system that predicts the success of a health venture based on initial data.
- Semantic Search & Text Classification approaches to extract information from raw data.
- ML tools that scan scientific articles and patent portfolios for interesting technologies that may be venturable.

**Your profile**:
We are looking for:

- Having studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Informatic Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science;
- Be studying for a Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI, ML, DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP) or equivalent;
- Programming in Python (at least medium level);
- Interest in early stage healthcare innovation;
- Fluency in statistics, mathematics and logic;
- Strong communicator in English with an eye for detail;
- Batteries-included team player who is more interested in making history than repeating it;
- You must have the right to work in the Netherlands and due to limited resources we do not have the capacity to offer relocation support nor visa sponsorship, so it is preferred that you are already located in the Netherlands;
- **Please note that to be considered for this internship, you must provide either a UNL or Nuffic agreement from your university. Applicants without one of these agreements will not be eligible for hire**

**The opportunity**:

- A full-time internship of 5-6 months, started date can be altered to your personal interests and learning goals (including a thesis)

- An internship compensation of 600 euros per month
- We are open to receive interns who do their internship remotely from cities other than Amsterdam, however they must be living and studying in the Netherlands
