The role
As the Platform team Network Practice Lead, you will report directly into the Director, Global Platform. In addition to your role as a technical leader, the role of networking Practice Lead (Ireland) requires you to go above and beyond, not just managing the global networking team but driving a culture of success. This will require a ‘One Ekco’ focus removing the entity approach so that we can work better together and drive a better service to the business. As a Practice Lead you will be at the heart of that change, ensuring your practice is capable of meeting todays/tomorrow’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
Taking ownership of your respective team to ensure effective service is delivered
Leading by example ensuring your team and others are living up to the standards we all set
Constantly be looking for opportunities to improve the service we offer
Working with other team leads to ensure no ticket/project gets missed
Continually developing knowledge of industry best practice and standards Ensuring processes are followed and where processes don’t exist helping to define them
Ensuring SLA’s and KPI’s are being met, reporting weekly & monthly to demonstrate this.
Monitoring your teams queues to identify aged tickets and highlighting issues
Acting as Major Incident Manager or communication manager as and when required.
Regularly conduct 1-2-1s with the team, ensuring each team member has objectives and a CDP in place
Managing resource availability and workloads within your team
Managing key projects within your teams remit
Key Requirements
Strong Cisco networking experience including Cisco Meraki
Strong HP switch experience
Strong Palo Alto experience
Strong experience with Fortinet
Experience with Kato technology
Experience with Hosted Desktop VDI / Session Hosts
Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft RDS, Citrix, Horizon
Experience with VxRail
Experience with Citrix
Previous Managment/Team Lead experience
MSP experience is preferred
