**What will you do?**
As a Quality Manager for the FDCA & PEF manufactured at Avantium spread over two locations, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the production process to be in line with the ISO guidelines. You play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards and supporting continuous improvement within the FDCA & PEF manufacturing sites.
**Responsibilities**:
- _Quality management external polymerization partner:_
- _Define Product Quality Standards and Specifications_
- _Internal Audits_
- _Manage SLA Contractual Agreements concerning quality matters_
- _Monitor process capability for Incoming Material, In-Process Quality Control, Final Product Inspection_
- _Monitor the Non-Conformance Management_
- _Training and Support concerning quality requirements_
- _Data Analysis and Reporting to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement_
- _Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives _
- _Communicate Customer Feedback Integration feedback related to product quality_
- _Establishing and maintaining quality systems at the Avantium FDCA Flagship plant:_
- _Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO guidelines_
- _Ensure that all relevant documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and specifications, are up-to-date and easily accessible to employees._
- _Experience with rewriting/editing/reviewing SOPs and WIs_
- _Providing support for audits and inspections_
- _Collaborate with internal and external auditors during quality audits and inspections:_
- _Investigate and respond to audit findings by implementing corrective and preventive actions_
- _Perform internal process audits to verify process compliance and adherence from users_
- _Continuous improvement:_
- _Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to quality improvement initiatives by using Kaizen methodologies_
- _Analyze data and trends to identify potential issues and proactively address them_
- _Training and coaching in quality procedures and guidelines _
- _Complaints and NC handling_
You will predominantly be based at our Flagship plant in Delfzijl and if your primary based location is Amsterdam, you will be expected to visit the Flagship at least once every two weeks.
**What do you bring?**
To be successful in this role, you require the following competencies:
- _Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as chemical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related fieldM_
- _Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and experience in implementing them._
- _ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor certification_
- _Analytical thinking and RC problem-solving skill such as 5 WHYs, Fish bone analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and implementation of CAPAs _
- _Statistical Process Control (SPC): Tools like Control Charts, Histograms, Pareto Charts, etc., to monitor and control production processes statistically_
- _Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written in Dutch and English._
- _Willing to frequently travel to our locations in Amsterdam & Delfzijl._
- _Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with other departments. Being able to show authority when Quality is at risk._
- _Independence and accuracy in performing tasks with strong attention to detail._
- _Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances._
- _Drive for continuous improvement and pursuit of excellence._
- _Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint._
- Experience in a quality-related role within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with FDCA production processes and technologies is appreciated.
