**About this vacancy**:

- Collaborate with engineers to refine and validate models for solving real-world problems.
- Translate complex challenges in statistical physics into simple, practical simulations.
- Develop and improve particle tracking simulations for both rarefied gas and continuum flow environments.
- Work alongside academic partners on advanced statistical algorithms, such as DSMC solvers.
- Proactively propose engineering solutions based on simulation results.
- Convert insights from simulations into actionable design recommendations.
- Thoroughly document the study, design process, and outcomes in comprehensive reports.

**What we expect from you**:

- You have a solid background in statistical physics, with extensive hands-on experience in Molecular Dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann, or Monte Carlo methods.
- Master's or PhD in physics or a related discipline, and over three years of experience in simulations within the high-tech sector.
- Your expertise in flow simulations under rarefied conditions is a plus.
- You are a self-motivated professional with a talent for asking insightful follow-up questions and managing your time efficiently, allowing you to prioritize tasks effectively.
- As a collaborative team player, you are analytical, pragmatic, creative, and proactive.
- You possess strong communication skills, are fluent in English, and preferably also speak Dutch.
- You are eager to broaden your personal development within the technology field.
