The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (M&CS) is the largest department of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and one of the largest departments in the Netherlands in Mathematics, Data Science, and Computer Science and we are still growing. Currently M&CS has approximately 450 employees with more than 100 scientific staff (assistant, associate, and full professors) and more than 200 PhD and EngD students. The department has research collaborations with the other departments at TU/e, with many organizations in the Brainport region, and with universities and companies in the Netherlands and abroad. Together M&CS staff and students strongly contribute to innovation in science and engineering by performing both fundamental and applied research. M&CS staff, participates in many national and international research consortia. This is reflected in the rich portfolio of projects and grants that M&CS research staff have acquired (including ERC and national level personal grants, H2020, NWO, and industry co-funded projects). The department offers high-quality bachelor and master programs, all taught in English, and hosts close to 3000 students in their programs. On top of this, the department offers courses at the other departments of TU/e. Teaching and Research in our department does not stay purely academical, as is clearly reflected in the number of successful spin-off companies.
M&CS is organized in three different domains: mathematics, computer science, and data science. Each domain consists of several clusters. This vacancy concerns the computer science domain, which is organized in five clusters: ALGO (Algorithms), FSA (Formal System Analysis), IRIS (Interconnected Resource-aware Intelligent Systems), SEC (Security), and SET (Software Engineering and Technology).

**Who are we looking for?**
The university has recently redesigned the bachelor educational programs in accordance with the 2030 vision of the university that aims to educate future-proof engineers. Distinguishing features of all these curricula are the use of challenge-based learning, individualized learning paths and development of professional and personal skills. We are looking for a university teacher to strengthen the team and to teach our students how to become future-proof engineers. Our department plays an important role within the university in innovations in teaching and the development of educational software tools.
Do you have a background in Computer Science? Are you looking forward to adopting a variety of roles from teaching courses in our bachelor programs, contributing to courses in our master programs, supervising Bachelor End Projects, and innovating teaching, to the development of educational software tools? Do you have a PhD or EngD degree (or are you close to obtaining one)? Do you already have a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or a similar teaching qualification (for example BKO/MKO/SKO from a Dutch HBO), or are you willing to obtain one? Do you have a strong affinity with teaching or coaching groups of students? Are you enthusiastic about contributing to the professional and personal development of our Bachelor and Master students, imparting knowledge as well as professional skills and are you a real team player? Then you may have what it takes to be successful at M&CS.
As all our programs are taught in English, demonstratable knowledge of the English language is important (Level C2).
**Conditions of employment**:
We offer an exciting position within an international yet personal university. You are right in the middle of the students, on a green campus within walking distance of the central station. We offer you:
- A monthly salary of minimum €3,226.= to maximum €5,929.= for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 10 or 11 of the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
- In addition to vacation pay (8% in May), a structural end-of-year bonus (8.3% in December)
