Are you ready to lead strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence on a global scale? Corbion has an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Director of Global Supply Planning. In this pivotal role, you spearhead the development and execution of supply chain strategies to optimize our global sourcing, production, and distribution activities.
**The context**
Corbion has specialized planners working in each functional area across the supply chain, including demand planners, supply schedulers, material planners. The supply planning organization brings all these plans together and ensures that the company’s products are available to meet the market demand. As the Director of Global Supply Planning, you report to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and lead an organization of supply planners responsible for the planning of our seven Acid and Derivatives manufacturing sites globally and the planning for all external contract manufacturing.
**Responsibilities**
- _
Talent Development and Leadership:_ Provide leadership and guidance to the global supply planning team.
- _ Strategic Planning and Execution:_ Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the organization, based on your expertise in global supply chain management. Drive the execution of strategic initiatives.
- _ Developing Supply Chain Strategies:_ Lead the development and implementation of supply chain strategies that optimize sourcing, production, and distribution activities on a global scale.
- _ Supply planning and Inventory Management:_ Responsible to deliver a balanced supply plan that supports meeting the company targets** **for OTIF, working capital and efficiency. Partner with the Demand Management team. Develop inventory management strategies. Ensure use of the full functionality of the advance planning tool (OMP).
- _ Supplier Relationship Management_**: Partner with the Contract Manufacturing and Procurement teams to build and maintain strong relationships with tollers and suppliers worldwide. Provide input to support contracts negotiations.
- _Site supply chain and regional Logistics:_ Develop strong interaction with leadership teams on the sites and worldwide Logistics teams to ensure execution of the supply plans, considering optimizing manufacturing capacity and lead times.
- _ Consolidated Supply Review as part of the S&OP cycle:_ Responsible to organize, prepare and lead these monthly meetings** **prepare supply scenarios to address manufacturing constraints, procurement and/or logistics issues. Review longer term production capacity to anticipate outsourcing and/or capital planning and investment.
- _ Risk Management and Contingency Planning:_ Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to address disruptions in supply, such as natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or supplier failures.
- _ Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement:_ Define key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- _ Cross-Functional Collaboration:_ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including End-to-End project managers, Demand Management, Contract Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, SC Center of Excellence and Finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues or challenges that arise.
**About you**
**Qualifications**:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in supply chain planning, inventory management, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Nice to have: certifications like APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management).
Knowledge and skills
- Supply Planning and S&OP processes
- Advance planning systems (SAP/Advance tools like OMP, Kinaxis, APO, other)
- Understanding Business to Business Ingredients market and its customers, as well as complex supply chain structures, preferably in the (bio)chemical industry
- Fluent in English
- Supply Chain financials
