Within the AOC R&D department in Zwolle we are looking for a new colleague. We are strengthening our innovation efforts in customer and manufacturing support and strategic fields like styrene-free, sustainability/ green (recycled and/or bio content) and carbon fiber composites.

We currently have a vacancy for a scientist in our synthesis laboratory. As R&D scientist you will work in international and multi-disciplinary teams. You perform and/ or support in resin synthesis both on laboratory and pilot scale, in support of technical service, innovation projects and/or manufacturing.

**Description**:

- Lead and participate in product/ technology development projects in close contact with R&D and business management
- Synthesize, formulate and test newly developed formulations
- Provide support for new product launches and inquiries both from internal as well as external customers
- Support manufacturing with solving synthesis and process issues
- Maintain and operate specialized laboratory equipment. Keep equipment and other utilities in good conditions
- Take care of laboratory logistics and housekeeping
- Regular reporting and good project administration
- Comply fully to responsibilities and authorities on safety and quality

**We Look For**:

- Polymer Chemist: M.Sc. with at least 3 years or B.sc. with at least 6 years of working experience in industrial composite/ polymer research
- Experience with leading product development projects is required:

- proven track record in product development and manufacturing support
- Required knowledge: polyester synthesis and upscaling
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent customer service and “can do“ mentality
- Pro-active attitude and hands-on mentality
