Context/Scope
Diageo's performance ambition is to become the most trusted and respected CPG; our “must dos” set out where we aim to win in order to achieve this aspiration. Within Supply Chain this translates into goals that aim to deliver world class performance at best cost, drive value through exceptional service and enable new growth opportunities.
To enable this, an above-the-market Centre of Excellence has been established to perform key functional areas within PLAN, spanning over all Diageo’s markets in Northern Europe, using a central pool of expertise that ensures standard and effective practices across countries.
Purpose of the Role
The Distribution Requirements Planner’s (DRP) primary role is to manage stock movements across the supply chain network, maintaining optimal stock cover at each of the locations (plants and warehouses), ensuring minimum distribution costs and is responsible to communicate stock availability to commercial team.
The role includes planning and coordination of stock transfers among the network nodes (including 3rd parties) in collaboration with production sites and Supply Planning teams.
Responsibility for planning of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants, 3PL’s, carriers, customs, etc.

Accountabilities
Managing Distribution Planning (DRP)- Single point of contact to the commercial team for supply of product into the market to ensure product continuity and providing availability dates.- Confirm stock availability and inbounds date for customer order delivery.- Run Status report for product availability and share with commercial and demand planning team.- Cooperation with Logistic specialist for PO amendments providing corrected inbound date and inbound stock quantity.- Manage stock transfers between markets (OOH).- Cooperation with logistic team on warehouse space planning, market split per warehouse and future inbound projection.- Support in management of the phasing in & out of products during it product life cycle.- Support in management of slow moving stock with the objective of minimising the write off of obsolete finished products.- Drive stock destruction.- Requesting stock block for allocation purposes.- Monthly S&OP Supply Review input and active part in S&OE reviews.
Skills and Qualifications- Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service- Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills- Good communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.-
- 1 to 3 years’ experience working within the Production or Distribution Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred- Experience with advanced planning software within Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW )- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, Logistics, engineering, or business degree.
