Working Capital Solutions (WCS) provides ING Wholesale Banking clients with a specialized and coordinated approach for all working capital financing solutions. WCS structures and manages complex working capital financing solutions for corporate clients across all sectors and regions. WCS Amsterdam is the center of excellence for Supply Chain Finance (SCF) globally. WCS is part of ING’s Trade Advisory & Structuring unit.

The SCF product is a tailored working capital solution structured at the back of a large client’s trade creditors, whereby ING discounts buyer-approved trade payables towards selected suppliers. The unlocking of the trapped cash in the suppliers’ account receivable in combination with the increased transparency, make SCF a valuable solution for both the debtor and its sellers.

WCS is looking to hire a senior VP/Director for its product line Supply Chain Finance (“SCF”) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In this job you will play an active role in the structuring, advisory, execution and monitoring of complex SCF transactions for ING WB clients. Identifying the key drivers of clients to implement working capital solutions - including cash flow optimization, diversification of funding, improvement of ratios like ROCE, realization of pricing benefits or risk management - and using those elements in commercial client processes to structure tailored solutions are at the core of this role as Deal Principal (DP). Commercially, you will act as an expert towards clients where the origination/advisory part consists of working capital analyses, preparing pitch books/presentations, attend client meetings, etc. As WB clients and prospects are targeted, we work in close cooperation with Sector Coverage and TS Sales. The role also includes managing existing transactions: expansion into new jurisdictions to cover more spend and additional suppliers, regular monitoring of the credit profile and financial performance to ensure the transaction fits within ING appetite in a safe and compliant way, etc. The DP will take responsibility for all internal processes related to the clients you manage, like credit and commercial approvals, legal, compliance, non-financial and operational risk matters, etc. and involve junior members of the team as well as regularly liaise with the responsible portfolio manager.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Marketing, structuring and execution of transactions
- Realization of revenue/client targets covering the ING differentiators
- E2E responsibility for the implementation of transactions
- Maintain or improve customer satisfaction through a personalized, tailored service and outstanding client relationship management
- Management of the credit risk of your portfolio of clients
- Optimization of returns on transactional level
- Coaching, training and development of junior members of the team
- Bridge building with relevant stakeholders like Relationship managers (PAM/LAM), TS Sales, Product teams, Legal and Risk Management
- Guard and improve quality levels, in structuring, execution and servicing

**Personal profile/competencies**:

- Team player combining commercial with people management skills
- Proven Risk Management and Financial Analysis skills with a customer centric approach
- Result driven with a risk-based approach. Someone with a strong understanding of leveraged transactions and risk policies is preferred
- Proven business/negotiation and deal origination skills specifically focused on SCF and/or open account flows
- Professional expertise and market focus
- Analytical problem solver with the capacity to deal with complex structures
- Strong knowledge of ING network and working thereof
- Openness for change and capacity to adapt
- Persuasiveness and excellent communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills

**Other**:

- Work Experience: > 6 years work experience in Wholesale Banking covering credit related work and/or HVA products
- International mindset: proven capacity to operate in a multicultural, cross border environment
- Education: Master's Degree - Finance or economics
- Language requirements: English (verbal and writing). Other language skills preferred (i.e. Dutch, German, Italian, etc).
