**DSP Researcher Downstream Processing**

Byondis is an independent Dutch biopharmaceutical company, based in Nijmegen, that focuses on developing innovative medicines against cancer and autoimmune diseases. We are driven by one goal: to develop new treatments to improve the standard of care for patients.

The Downstream Processing (DSP) department is responsible for purification and formulation development of biopharmaceuticals and for the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). DSP plays a key role between different departments such as Upstream Processing, Analytical Development & Quality Control, Medicinal & Protein Chemistry and Operations.

In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will be involved in the design, execution and documentation of experiments to purify and characterize biopharmaceutical proteins. The work includes biophysical characterization of proteins and fragments thereof using a multitude of analytical techniques. You will work in a stimulating group of researchers and will be able to grow both in your personal and scientific skills.

**Your profile**

Your letter of motivation and CV should show that you have:

- Knowledge of downstream processing and preparative chromatography
- Experience in protein characterization using different analytical techniques such as U/HPLC and SDS-PAGE
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments/methods to determine and predict the stability of biopharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of proteins (preferably monoclonal antibodies)
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)

- A flexible, enthusiastic, pro-active and pragmatic mindset
- Work and report in a complete, accurate and structured manner
