Overview:
The QESH Coordinator (Quality, Environment, Safety, Health) is responsible for all environmental compliance, operational quality and Health & Safety at the ESC. This person supports the production location by making analyses, quality measurements, reporting deviations and keeping the manuals up to date. He or she works together with QC colleagues at the location and the QA and HSE Central colleagues, the process managers and operation managers. Moreover, there will be regular contact and consultation with the central quality department within Foot locker Europe.
**Responsibilities**:
**Health, Safety, Environment**
- Oversee and manage safety program activities for the warehouse:
- Visit, Produce and/or coordinate the Risk Assessment inspection report in the warehouse.
- Prepare action plans to prevent and reduce safety hazards, monitoring the progress of corrective measures taken.
- Chair regular Health & Safety Committee Meetings
- Assist on the Accident Investigation program.
- Investigate workplace accidents in the ESC to identify the risks and to recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and to obtain further risk reduction.
- Health & Safety reporting
- Submit and analyze all H&S documentation of the ESC (Accidents, Risk Assessments, Training, K.P.I. reports/results for trends)
- Coordinate the Company’s Health & Safety training for responsible area:
- Identify training needs and prepare a periodic Health & Safety program, based on legislative requirements.
- Supervise and deliver safety training sessions as needed by the operational warehouse team.
- Review new process / way of working on any H&S risks at the new DC:
- Review and screen H&S plan from vendors (e.g. VI plan, racking, other MHE vendors)
- Advise on process for hazardous materials
- Ensure fire alarm proper set up incl agreements with vendors
- Ensure H&S related materials are ordered and installed in the warehouse
**Quality Assurance**
- Continuously optimizing processes and working methods; Helping to ensure that production processes run according to established procedures and work instructions.
- Function as lead of the Emergency Response team (BHV) and create / maintain the documentation for all required procedures and regulations in the warehouse.
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with current environmental
- Safety standards, regulations, and legislation for all departments in the warehouse
- Ensure up to date collection of all standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Leading warehouse quality control team
- Responsible for quality check on picking accuracy, cycle counting, and checking quality in operational processes
Qualifications:
- Relevant safety expert MVK/HVK education, similar H&S bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum 4-6 years experience in similar position, preferably in a distribution and/or warehouse environment
- Can work independently in a rapidly changing international environment
- Personal characteristics: accurate, committed, drive and proactive
- Knowledge of MS office
- Fluent in verbal and written communication in Dutch and English
