Full-time - Amsterdam

As an Associate Director, also called Associate Design Director, you will be in a multi-dimensional role. In a nutshell, you will be leading the design development, mentoring senior architects and curating the process at the milestones and as needed.

We are searching for a higly-creative and ambitious individual who carries solid design direction experience. You will oversee the implementation of the best practices, focus on design, strategic planning and support, but primarily be held accountable for the Design Excellence in all aspects of the projects. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a big impact and leave a mark in historical projects created by UNStudio. Does this seem exciting?

**The Position**:
- Lead and oversee creative aspect of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring the excellence of the overall design, technical content, feasibility, and adherence to budget constraints.
- Take full accountability for project outcomes, encompassing design excellence, technical proficiency, and financial viability.
- Represent UNStudio in formal meetings, where decisions of complex or sensitive nature are made, showcasing strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Utilize extensive know-how and advisory skills to navigate significant complexities inherent in project execution.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage potential risks that could impact project delivery, operational efficiency, or the firm's position, contributing to effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive business development initiatives for product design, leveraging your expertise and network to expand UNStudio's market presence and opportunities.**The Requirements**:
- Education in Architecture
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the Design Direction, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects, with a focus on design excellence and innovation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with a keen business acumen, capable of identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the product design market.
