To turn our research into real-world change, we engage with leading organisations, including healthcare companies, NGOs and governments. Our reports are seen and used by a wide network of experts and groups, including pharmaceutical companies and industry watchers, governments, international agencies such as the United Nations and World Health Organization, pharma journalists, investors and global health professionals and academics.

We are looking for a Grants Officer who is able to work well with others and liaise with team members across the Foundation to ensure reporting requirements to funders are met on time and in full. The individual will also be responsible for writing new proposals and proactively seeking out new funding opportunities to support the Foundation’s growth. To be considered for this role you will need to have exceptional writing skills in English and a keen eye for detail. You will also need to be able to work both independently and with the various teams across the Foundation. Additional professional language skills are an asset (for example, fluency in Dutch, German).

**What does the role look like?**:
**The role may include the following responsibilities**:

- Coordinates the planning and preparation of grant proposals; provides guidance and assistance to team members in the interpretation of funding agency regulations and requirements.
- Serves as a liaison between team members and the financial controller’s office in the preparation of grant proposals.
- Prepares and compiles all components of each grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirements.
- Prepares reporting to funders on existing and future grants; develops and drafts submissions, liaises with other teams in advance to collect necessary reporting information.
- Supports Government Engagement and Policy Manager in liaising with funding agencies (where appropriate) on reporting information.
- Works collaboratively with team members on the development of key materials aimed at building relationships with potential or current funders including, blogs, op-eds, and thought pieces.
- Develops and maintains specialized databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, awards, and related information; creates and distributes standard and special reports, studies, summaries, and analyses, as required.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**What we are looking for**:

- University degree, preferably with a strong demonstration of English language writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing successful grants and other proposals, Experience in writing health-related grant proposals will be preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of current developments and priorities in global health funding opportunities.
- Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyse information, and to devise and develop reports.
- Database management skills.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Knowledge of global health grant funding policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and across teams.
- Available to start asap;
- A valid work permit to work in the Netherlands is required, EU applicants welcome.
