For our brand Scotch & Soda, we are currently seeking a talented and passionate designer with a focus on women's wovens.

**Position Overview**:
As a Women's Wear Designer at Scotch & Soda, you will play a pivotal role in the design of our women's wear collection. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for fashion will contribute to the development of our women's wear collections. This position is ideal for someone with 3+ years of industry experience, proficient in Adobe Illustrator, and strong in both hand and digital sketching.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Collaborate with Senior Designers**: Work closely with our senior designers to develop and execute design concepts
- **Trend Research**: Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion shows, market developments, and consumer preferences to ensure our designs are relevant and cutting-edge.
- **Sketching**: Create detailed hand sketches and digital illustrations ensuring accuracy and precision.
- **Adobe Illustrator**: Use Adobe Illustrator to translate your sketches into digital renderings, incorporating color, texture, and other design elements.
- **Material Selection**: Assist in selecting appropriate fabrics and materials for each design, considering both aesthetic and functional aspects.
- **Technical Specifications**: Prepare detailed technical specifications and CADs to communicate design ideas to the production team.
- **Prototyping**: Collaborate with the Product development teams to bring your designs to life, providing guidance and feedback throughout the development process.
- **Quality Control**: Participate in the quality control process, ensuring that final products meet design specifications and standards.
- **Presentation**: Present design concepts and ideas to the design directors and other relevant stakeholders.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- A keen interest in fashion and a strong understanding of the latest trends.
- 3+ years of experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on women's wear design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for digital design work.
- Strong hand sketching skills to convey design concepts effectively.
- Demonstrates a commitment to personal development through regular self-reflection and a willingness to learn from experiences.
- Capable of giving and receiving honest, constructive feedback with empathy and respect, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintains a growth mindset and perseverance in challenging situations

- Willing to commute to our Amsterdam office full-time
- A valid work permit, or EU passport enabling you to work in the Netherlands without sponsorship
