**About the team**
Within the Industrial Supply Chain Management department the Tactical Buying team is responsible for the timely delivery, in full and within specifications of the goods and service that are required by the supply chain. This in close cooperation with Procurement, Master planning, Material Manager, Inventory Manager, Production lines and Warehouse.
**About your future job**
As a Manager Tactical Buying you are a resource manager of a team of 15 FTE and together with them you take responsibility for the abovementioned areas of interest. An important task is to facilitate and support the team in such a way that they can perform at their best, grow as a team and as an individual. An inspirational and a coaching leadership style is a prerequisite to succeed.
Furthermore you take care of actions regarding different business topics and challenges. These can be within the department but also cross-departmental. Some examples are the translation of the material forecast to timely ordering, Oracle ERP topics and procurement, production
- or logistics related challenges.
Most interesting thing of this role is that you have a strong impact on the on-time delivery of the entire supply chain of Thales Hengelo with this team. Looking for optimal balances between availability, cost and cash should be your natural way of thinking and working. Some words to describe a normal workweek at its best are having fun, collaborating, organizing, conceptual thinking, short interval meetings, analyzing, problem-solving, improving and above all make it work.
Last but not least you are part of the ISCM management team, consisting of the Manager Industrial Supply Chain Manager, Manager Warehouse Operations, Manager Warehouse and Shipping, and Manager Master planning.
The main tasks are:
- Supervise, coach and train your team of professional and bring them to the next stage
- Optimizing and improve the overall buying process
- Manage material availability escalations
- Monitoring KPIs on supplier on-time delivery, non-conformity management, material availability, delivery times of the products and service within the supply chain.
**Why you'd be a good match**
- Master or Bachelor work and thinking level with a degree in supply chain management, logistics or Business administration.
- APICS CPIM is an advantage
- English both verbally and in writing.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable ability to lead, coach and manage a team.
- Experience with Oracle-ERP and interface with PLM system is an advantage.
- Important competences in this position are: prioritizing, communication, organization, stress resistant, interpersonal skills (creating confidence/trust, empathy).
