As Manager QC you have the opportunity to be one of the most important links in the field of Quality Control (QC). High quality, reliability, safety and expertise are extremely important in the production of food. Your challenge? Professionalizing our QC department, creating a result-oriented and efficient working environment and delivering quality, reliability and predictability to all stakeholders.
**Activities**:
- As a QC Manager you are one of the driving forces behind the vision on Quality. Because you are aware of new developments and methodologies, you are able to take all QC (and related) processes to a higher level. In addition, your position consists of the following activities:
- You are ultimately responsible for the timely and correct assessment, analysis, optimization, verification and reporting of all analyses at the in-house QC laboratory, the in-house company lab and at external laboratories. This responsibility also includes the entry check of incoming raw materials and packaging materials, sample shipment and storage;
- You lead the QC department (21 direct reports, some of which work in shifts);
- You professionalize all QC (and related) processes;
- You are responsible for managing, at a Senior level, all stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
- You are actively involved in and steer the strategy and working methods of Quality Control;
- You are actively involved in more complex Root Cause Analyses in case of quality issues
**To be successful in this role you will bring the following**:
- At least a completed HBO education, preferably in the direction of laboratory management of food chemistry/technology;
- At least 5 years of relevant managerial experience in a similar dynamic environment, for example within food or pharma;
- Knowledge of laboratory and quality management is an advantage;
