In this position, you are the hub of a project concerning the documentation part. You know how to provide our customers with the right information on all aspects of our machines, using illustrations and written text in the machine manual. You are responsible for the delivery of the technical manuals. No machine is the same, and therefore neither is the manual. This makes your work versatile and challenging, as you work closely with virtually all disciplines within the project to gather the necessary information.
Your responsibilities include:
- Creating the overall description of the machine;
- Extracting the required information within the organisation and our foreign branches;
- Preparing maintenance instructions;
- Preparing instructions for operating the machine;
- Preparing instructions for machine safety.
**This will be your day**:
**8:00**
Full of enthusiasm, you start the week. After a cup of coffee with your colleagues, you get to work. You start the day by checking your mail and look at the schedule to see which project is scheduled for you. Then you scroll through client specifications to check for specific client requirements.**10:00**
You dive back into your project and carefully review the project's 3D models. In the process, you read through the functional specifications so that you can start working on the manual on that basis.**13:00**
After lunch break and a walk outside with your colleagues, you continue working on the manual. A meeting is scheduled with a Project Manager to go over project specifications with you.**15:00**
You interact with colleagues from different engineering disciplines to pick up technical content knowledge and incorporate it into the manual. It is also important for the manual to include photo reports. You have an appointment on the shop floor to take the photos. After shooting, you immediately take the manual that came with a machine, so you can start sorting it out the next day.**16:30**
