**Job description**:
**About the group**
- and biocompatible materials for life sciences, specifically regenerative medicine. SBMC is a one of the five pilotlines of the RegMed XB Pilot factory for regenerative medicine and has a focus on biomaterials and biodegradable implants. SBMC operates on a fee-for-service business model, offering services for the development and production of regenerative therapies within the scope of biomaterials.

**Job requirements**:

- A master’s degree (Second Cycle qualification) in Immunology, Biology, Biomedical engineering, Regenerative Medicine or a comparable domain.
- A solid background in bone biology and immunology.
- A strong interest in translational research.
- Experience with bone engineering, in vitro models and biomaterials is preferred
- Strong motivation to do excellent, original, translational research.
- Team player and able to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and international context
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Note that there is no Dutch language requirement.
- Motivated to develop your teaching skills and coach students. Motivated to make research results accessible and available for use by industry.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Full-time employment for four years, with an intermediate evaluation (go/no-go) after nine months. You will spend 10% of your employment on teaching tasks.
- Salary and benefits (such as a pension scheme, paid pregnancy and maternity leave, partially paid parental leave) in accordance with the _Collective Labour Agreement_ for Dutch Universities, scale P (min. €2,872 max. €3,670).
- A year-end bonus of 8.3% and annual vacation pay of 8%.
- Cutting-edge research focused on in vitro bone models and will receive innovative multidisciplinary and multisectoral training from experienced supervisors in both fundamental and translational research.
