For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Solution Architect
**Job Overview/Summary**
As a solution architect you will be a key player in the cooperation between Enterprise and/or Domain Architects, other Solution Architects, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, and DevOps Engineers. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in the gathering and translation of business requirements, crafting high-level architectural designs, seamless integration of components, and validating solutions. Post-implementation, you will provide ongoing support, guaranteeing the quality of our IT solutions.
You will be part of the Trade Tribe, where you collaborate with multiple teams and vendors. You will be working on the strategic replatforming project for working capital solutions. We follow a Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to deliver better software faster. We work with the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks, which means that you work in a dynamic environment in which you are continuously learning. If you have bright ideas, they will be valued and supported by both your peers and your management.
**Your key responsibilities**
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather business needs. Translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Together with relevant stakeholders (Enterprise and/or Domain Architects, and other Solution Architects, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, and DevOps Engineers) you bring common understanding among stakeholders regarding responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines with a strong MVP (Minimum Viable Product) mindset.
From a strategic business & IT context point of view, you deliver more detailed implementation roadmaps. You can slice and refine these roadmaps to the level of concrete designs to be implemented by the squads. During this design phase, you oversee and challenge the solution.
Next to this, you will stay involved post-implementation to support integration testing where you ensure components work together seamlessly and you address any issues related to interfaces.
During the whole product life cycle, you identify and manage risks and potential issues and offer improvements across squads.
**Your qualifications**
- Experience in IT as a solution architect /functional analyst/ engineer etc.
- A relevant bachelor’s or post-graduate degree.
- Experience in working in a complex and challenging IT environment.
- Experience with an agile way of working.
- Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.
**Your skills and competencies**
- From high profile to low profile, you are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across tribes and squads and serve as liaison when needed.
- You can communicate interdisciplinary, meaning you are able to cover all product life cycle aspects in close collaboration with multiple teams.
- Good communication skills (in English), strong communication and presentation skills (telling - selling), strong problem-solving skills to find creative ways of driving progress and removing impediments.
- You are a good collaborator with a 'make it happen' mentality, eager to learn and ability to coach others.
- You don’t hesitate to ask questions. Not only to come up with a holistic solution, but also regarding processes and tasks that are new to you.
- You have a self-starting mentality and can plan your own work.
