**Your new role**As a Technician Protein Sample Management you will be part of the Antibody Research Materials department. Four closely connected teams focus on fueling the companies’ discovery pipeline by supplying the base elements for the projects: the research materials. Their challenge is to deliver these at predictable and fast timelines and high user-friendliness. This vacancy is part of the Protein Sample Management. This team is responsible for releasing protein batches after data review, receiving and managing the research material inventory, distributing the antibodies internally as well as organizing shipping to external partners. In this position, you will work as a Technician in the logistics team. Together with the team you are responsible for managing the inventory and distributing materials to the various research groups in the company as well as shipping them to global partners. With good teamwork and clear communication you will be part of one of the companies’ business critical teams supporting the development of therapeutic antibodies.
You will be responsible for:
- Shipment Coordination: Handling and organizing every part of shipment requests, including paperwork and communication with shipping companies.
- Inventory Management: Overseeing the release of protein batches after data review, ensuring accurate inventory reporting and management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about customs regulations and ensure all requirements are met for the shipping of biological materials.
- Process Improvement: Actively contributing to the optimization and innovation of logistics processes within the team.
**Your profile**
To be successful as a Technician Protein Sample Management, you meet the following requirements:
- MLO or HLO (Bachelor’s) degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Laboratory Experience: Proven experience working in a laboratory setting, following established procedures.
- As a person you are accurate, flexible and you have a solution-driven approach. You are able to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and you can manage unexpected workloads.
- Experience with laboratory software, automation, and data handling will be considered a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Dutch is not required for this role.

You will work for an international biotech company specializing in the creation and development of innovative differentiated antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and the improvement of the lives of cancer patients.
The company has been active for almost 25 years and they now have over 1000 people working for them. Their headquarters are in Denmark and next to this office, they have sites in the US, Japan and the one in Utrecht that you might join
**The benefits**
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 6 months through Hays. Extension and/or takeover on a direct contract with the company, to stay within the department is possible, but not guaranteed. At this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered. Hays is part of the NBBU CAO (collective labor agreement) and offers the associated secondary benefits. Please note that visa sponsorship cannot be provided for this position.
