**Your role**:
Zanders is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel. You will be dealing with corporate law, privacy law, and law of obligations (contract & tort). You will also manage one or more legal projects and may take part in Zanders’ strategic M&A projects. This role is ideal for an initiative-taking individual eager to make an impact and comfortable in a fast-growing organisation. After your onboarding period, you will work both independently and cooperate with/ support the General Counsel in his day-to-day work, supporting all Zanders’ offices worldwide. You will report into the General Counsel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Advise on commercial contracts, i.e. supplier and client agreements of various nature
- Manage the Contracting Tool, including setting up template agreements/documents for common use
- Support Zanders M&A projects including legal integration and post due diligence actions
- Manage privacy compliance for all Zanders entities
- Maintain up to date corporate legal housekeeping
- Provide advice/ guidance on UBO/ KYC questions from the business
- Support the HR operations regarding employment law matters
- Maintain up to date Zanders’ policies & procedures - coordinate with involved departments
- Manage the insurance portfolio
- Provide legal training to Zanders colleagues in the future

**Skills to be successful**:

- University/ Law School degree from a reputable university in an EU, common law jurisdiction, or South-Africa
- 3-5 years’ work experience at a reputable law firm and in-house
- Work experience within a bank, Big Four or another reputable professional services firm is a big plus
- Fluent in (legal/ professional) English and Dutch, fluency in another language is a plus
- Experience in an international/ cross cultural environment
- Willing to travel occasionally
- Precise and well organised/ able to “manage the manager”
