Challenging position for a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong sense of ownership The current vacancy is for a Financial Accounting Manager of 3 entities registered in the Netherlands:

- PACCAR Financial Europe: entity accounting for the funding with external parties and subsidiaries (commercial paper, EMTN, loans, derivative instruments)
- PACCAR Financial Holdings Europe: entity in which capital investments, capital projects and group recharges are being accounted for.
- PACCAR Financial Services: entity providing wholesale financing to DAF dealers.

As a Financial Accounting Manager you are responsible for an accurate and timely accounting (general ledger, financial statements, taxes like VAT, corporate income tax, etc.) of the assigned entities, in accordance with local requirements and PACCAR accounting policies and procedures. You manage the execution of administrative tasks by the local accounting team (up to 3 employees including back-ups).

In this position you maintain a close relationship with the different departments (i.e. Treasury, Wholesale, DAF accounting) in order to facilitate smoothly running financial processes.

**Responsibilities (for all assigned entities)**:

- Overall responsibility for control and execution of reconciliation of general ledger accounts in accordance with PACCAR policies and derivative accounting
- Maintain and control the general ledgers and ensure accurate and timely delivery of the monthly (quarter) end closing
- Assure adequate and correct documentation and support of (derivative) transactions and reports
- Coordinating role for the holding company (amongst others budget IT projects and related follow up)
- Manage the Treasury system in cooperation with Treasury
- Support the preparation of (consolidated) financial statements
- Manage and facilitate the internal and external audit processes
- Participate in IT projects (substantial role in replacing Wholesale Administration System; regular updates of Treasury system)
- Prepare transfer pricing documentation, corporate income tax and VAT returns as well as related tax accounting
- Provide support in tax audits (VAT, company income tax and transfer pricing)
- Support as required in the forecasting / budgeting cycles
- Keep up with internal and external rules and regulations with regard to accounting
- Coordinate all statutory, tax and legal matters
- Analyze in cooperation with legal / tax advisors the impact of changed internal and external rules, regulations and policies on business accounting
- Determine, in cooperation with the Area Controller, the proper accounting treatment of complex or unusual transactions
- Adapt tools, procedures and guidelines for accounting as to make these compliant with PACCAR policies or local laws and regulations
- Participate in other improvement projects as assigned

As a Financial Accounting Manager you have knowledge of local (Dutch) requirements for financial reporting and taxes as well as knowledge of derivative accounting.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimal 5 years of finance experience
- Experience with managing (small) teams. You are a teamplayer and able to manage and motivate a team
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of financial software Exact is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- As a person you are very accurate and can work independently with a strong sense of ownership.
