Job Overview:
A Quality Manager at Fortna will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality for our material handling systems.

He or She will operate in coordination with the Fortna Continuous Improvement Team. The quality manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).

He or She will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. The goal is to ensure that the organization consistently delivers high-quality products or services, meeting customer expectations and complying with relevant regulations.

Core Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Process Improvement: Develop and implement quality control processes or identify improvements in existing processes to enhance efficiency and product/service quality.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that products or services meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Auditing: Conducting regular internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Problem Resolution: Lead investigations into non-conformities, customer complaints, and product defects, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by analysing data, feedback, and performance metrics to drive enhancements.
- Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure and improve product quality.
- Global Alignment: coordinate and align actions, tools and process improvements with the Fortna Global Quality system to maximize synergies and implement an uniform way of working.
- Training: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills among team members about the company’s quality objectives.
- Documentation: Managing and updating documentation related to quality processes, procedures, and standards, record-keeping of quality-related activities, ensuring traceability and accountability.
- Regulations: stay abreast of industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements to proactively enhance the quality management system.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management).
- Proven experience in quality management within the manufacturing industry, preferably with material handling systems.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English language.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and drive a culture of quality excellence.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a plus
