For our location in Venray we are looking for a Production Manager. A leadership role where your expertise in production and engineering really makes a difference. With your vision and leadership skills, you will contribute to our success. The challenges are waiting for you

**Essential duties and responsibilities**:
Management of Staff
- Support, manage and coach production team leaders and staff.
- Work with team leaders to assign workers and other staff to the proper production operation.
- Lead by example to promote and encourage strong commitment to Penn Color’s core values.
- Manage training programs together with the Planning & Optimization Lead for new operators and to improve competencies of existing operators.

OTD
- Ensure corporate goals of OTD are met or exceeded.
- Communicate on a regular basis, both verbally and through reports, with the sales department, purchasing, laboratory (QC), EHS and finance department.
- Coordinate production workflow for all 4 plants manufacturing areas.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay in cooperation with the (internal) sales department and planning.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Ensure highest productivity of manufacturing group by working together with team leaders and maintenance to address issues if/when they arise.

Continuous Improvement
- Generate KPI reports for the production departments such as efficiency reports, transaction reports and standard manufacturing reports.
- Lead continuous improvement, including the 6S program in production, efficiencies, cost reductions and process improvements.
- Participate in teams to reduce scrap & off grade product.
- Maintain an appropriate level of technical, product and customer knowledge.
- Implement production processes, 6S and Lean and other Penn Color methodologies.
- Be highly involved with product transfer from local technical and global transfers of existing processes and products.

**Required skills**:

- Degree in Engineering or related field or commensurate manufacturing experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of colors, additives and color concentrate manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of Oracle software
- Fluent Dutch and English
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies
- Self-reliant and results oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact within all levels of the organization
