Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), established in 1981 by its parent company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), is an international upstream company engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas outside the State of Kuwait. KUFPEC operates in 9 countries in Australia, Asia, Africa, North America and Europe and participates in exciting joint ventures as both an operating and non-operating partner.

We are currently looking for a dynamic addition to our team to serve as our local representative based in the Netherlands:
Tax, Finance, and Admin Assistant

Key Responsibilities

This role is critical in supporting our international upstream oil and gas operations and as such is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and represent our international operations in the Netherlands. In this multi-faceted role, you'll be at the forefront of managing both direct and indirect tax compliance, working closely with external advisors to ensure everything is up-to-date and thoroughly reviewed.

Your expertise will be essential in handling bookkeeping and preparing financial accounts in accordance with Dutch regulations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to our head office and key stakeholders. You will play a key role in overseeing the closing of subsidiary accounts in conjunction with our commercial team,

Additionally, you will facilitate shareholder and board meetings, prepare key corporate documents with support from head office, and provide tax-related information to other business units. You'll also prepare annual benchmarking reports for the Dutch Central Bank and monitor all tax requirements, including Pillar 2 and transfer pricing regulations.

You'll manage the office's general and administrative budget, expenses, and AFE, representing the company in meetings with tax advisors and Dutch authorities. Building strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry bodies will be key to your success. Plus, you'll adhere to our risk management policies and take on HSE-related duties as per company policy.

**Requirements**:

- You will need a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
- You must have at least four years' post-qualification experience in finance or tax, preferably in the international oil and gas sector.
- You should have a good understanding and practical experience of Dutch fiscal concepts, tax laws and obligations.
- You must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Oracle ERP.
- You must have a good command of both Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
- You should be dynamic and able to work before or after hours due to time differences.
- You will be required to move, stand, walk and attend face-to-face meetings with consultants, partners, advisors and authorities, as well as online meetings.
