**About the position**:
As a Sustainability Specialist at NewCold, you will join a team dedicated to driving our global energy initiatives. Your work will focus on energy modelling, technical concept designs, integration of new technology advancements, and tender process management. In addition to this, the role requires financial acumen in developing business cases for renewable energy.

Beyond these core responsibilities, your role extends to providing thought leadership on sustainable practices, offering feedback on activities, considering their environmental impact and ensuring the integrity of our sustainable goals as a reflection of our corporate values.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the implementation of sustainable goals and ideals within energy management projects as well as outside of energy related topics.
- Provide thought leadership on sustainable topics, offering critical feedback on activities of all scales, considering their impact on the environment, the NewCold image, and our corporate values.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, bringing innovative and sustainable solutions to the forefront.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to integrate sustainable technologies or processes into project development and existing operations.
- Play a key role in preparing detailed technical specifications for RFQ documents. Collaborate closely with procurement teams to ensure clear communication of technical requirements.
- Develop robust business cases for renewable energy projects, considering financial viability as well as communicate non-financial benefits of sustainability.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Environmental Sciences and Sustainability Concepts
- Experience in the integration of sustainable concepts and projects in a work environment
- Familiarity with global sustainability guidelines and governmental demands
- Deep knowledge of principles, practices and theories within environmental sciences
- First experience with procurement processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Financial
- and Business acumen to assess the viability of projects and align them with sustainability goals
- Ability to prioritize and high level of organizational skills
- Strong intercultural and communication skills
- Professional communication in English, any other European language is a plus
- Passion for sustainable goals and ideals
