Due to further expansion of our business **Turbo Diesel Engineering - Rotterdam**
is presently looking to recruit a **Workshop Technician**
based at our **Ridderkerk** facility.
The Workshop Technician will be responsible for assisting with mainly the workshop maintenance and repair of Marine Turbochargers but will on occasion be required to work onboard our customers vessels.
The primary responsibility will be the working in the workshop, assisting the Senior service engineers with disassembly / cleaning / balancing and assembly of marine turbochargers.
Additional role will be the responsibility of the logistics for the warehouse / workshop for incoming / outgoing parts.
You will work in conjunction with the Service Manager, Senior service engineers and others workshop technicians where
required.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Assembly, disassembly and testing of marine turbochargers, in line with manufacturers work instructions.
Work will be required both onboard and in the workshop.
Managing Logistics including stock control of incoming / outgoing parts using our SAP system.
Assisting with workshop / warehouse maintenance alongside the workshop technicians.
Willingness to travel both in EU and worldwide if required.
**Essential Experience / Qualifications**
Minimum 2 years of work experience within an engineering environment.
Available to work occasionally during weekends or national holidays if required
Self motivated, conscientious team player with the ability to work unsupervised
Capable of working within a team of engineers on site and in the workshop
Driving license.
EU Work Permit
**Desirable skills / experience**
Diesel Engine maintenance / repair experience a distinct advantage
Car mechanic or other technical / engineering skills a plus.
Marine Industry experience also beneficial
Willingness to learn and develop within the business is highly desirable
Currently living in Ridderkerk or within surrounding area is preferable
