Air Freight Handling Operative

Are you ready to take charge of our air freight operations? We are seeking an enthusiastic Air Freight Handling Operative for a full-time role (36 hours per week). This position is an excellent opportunity to start in our warehouse and potentially grow into aircraft handling (Ramp) in the future

**What will you do?**
- Collect incoming air freight from aircraft pallets and sort it onto wooden pallets.
- Seal and scan air freight.
- Prepare aircraft pallets with plastic and nets.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.

As you progress, you’ll be involved in aircraft handling when the planes land—setting up the blocks, preparing the boarding stairs, providing power to the aircraft, and working with your team to load and unload cargo. Each task varies, ensuring your work is diverse and never dull.

Our client is a continuously developing regional airport in Limburg, known for its compact and organized setup. The airport expects growth in both passengers and cargo in the coming years. Conveniently located near the A2, it’s easily accessible from Maastricht, Heerlen, Sittard, Weert, and Roermond. Working at an airport means every day brings something new.

**Requirements**:

- You speak and understand Dutch **or** English well.
- You are physically fit for manual work.
- You are available for early, afternoon, and night shifts according to a set schedule.
- You have a valid forklift certification **or **are willing to obtain one shortly.
- You hold a valid driver's license (Category B) to operate a forklift within our company.
- You can obtain a certificate of no objection (VGB): you have no criminal record and have lived in the Netherlands for at least 8 years.

**What we offer**:

- Starting salary: €19.27 per hour
- Travel reimbursement of €0.22 per kilometer, with a maximum of €180 net per month.
- 25 vacation days plus holiday pay (8%).
