**We’re looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands on a permanent basis.**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Prepare and maintain precise accounting documents and records, adhering to established procedures and regulations.
- Accurately process bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements ensuring timely and correct entries.
- Reconcile accounts promptly and thoroughly, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Efficiently input key financial transactions into the database daily.
- Track and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies, escalating issues to relevant parties when necessary.
- Provide ad hoc assistance and support to the wider Finance team as needed, contributing to a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required.
- Maintain organised filing systems and records, ensuring easy accessibility and compliance with data retention policies.

**Requirements**:
**Experience we look for**:
**Essential**
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Previous experience in a commercial finance environment
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

**Desirable**
- Experience of the fresh produce/food manufacturing industry would be beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience working with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Previous experience of MS D365
