Customs Supervisor

**What will you do?**
- You are responsible for leading the Customs team (4-12 FTE) who is managing all daily customs and compliance activities within the Netherlands (locations Waalwijk, Tilburg and Venray). You will ensure and maintain that overall compliance with EU (and national) legislation/regulation is conducted as a policy regarding our clients and within our internal organization. You will generate, monitor and regularly check the monthly periodic declaration and other type of customs declarations submitted to the customs authority. You are responsible for maintaining requirements regarding Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) license and perform internal audits on the applicable customs processes. As well as, setting-up and maintaining a quality system for internal and external purposes. Besides identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations to support this, you will lead- projects, advice, guides and implement them accordingly.- In this role, you will assist advice and help the manager customs & trade affairs and the several business units with all kind of customs and related operational matters.- We are a very dynamic organization where flexibility is needed to deliver excellent service to our customers.**Why DP World?**

- Relevant education (HBO level) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ year working experience in a supervisory role within customs environment
- Knowledge of national and EU Customs/Tax regulations/legislation
- Strong communication skills at all levels of management and operations
- Knowledge/experience in working with computerized customs systems & MS Office
- Good communication and relationship building skills in English
- Good analytical skills and able to translate ideas to action effectively
- Able to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings
