Assistent Manager Food and Beverage

The Fiddler is the largest international pub of The Hague. We have a huge beer selection; on bottle and on tap (200+ different beers available). And we brew our own Animal Army beers and ales on the premises. Besides a kitchen we have a beer brewery as well. Unique in The Hague are our typical English hand pumps for our Animal Army Ales. The combination of pub and brewery fits well in this era and is succesful. On our 2nd floor we show sports. On this floor we have 6 big (projection) screens with HD quality, so a sharp image. The ideal location for sport fans to see their favourite game. On the patio in front of The Fiddler with a view on the big church you can find our terrace. In total The Fiddler has 350 seats.
The Fiddler is located in the old city centre of The Hague. You can reach The Fiddler with several buses and trams. The train stations are at a 15 minute walking distance. Most of the employees at The Fiddler work parttime, a young, international and dynamic team. Eager to learn, flexible and in service of the customer. The Assistent Manager together with the Entrepreneur manages a team of Supervisors. The Entrepreneur supports the Assistent Manager where needed. In total The Fiddler has 30 (mostly parttime) employees. The work invironment is important and makes sure that opportunities are recognised and used. The Assistent Manager has a lot of freedom, the end result is more important; not the road that leads towards it. The chosen road needs to fit the vision of the company. Therefore you talk and discuss on a regular basis with the Entrepreneur
We daily serve the most diverse customers. Half of our customers speak English. In our pub friends come together to have a cozy conversation. An expat/international student comes along to socialise. The sports fan finds the best spot in front of the big screens. And many customers visit us for our huge beer selection. And while visiting us, why not eat something. The atmosphere is casual and the customer just wants to have a good time.
Work times to be agreed on, to be expected in the afternoon and evening. Free working days are weekly the same, only at events differ, like World Cup football, around Christmas/NYE, et cetera.
You excel in English, both spoken and written. Dutch is not mandatory, but helpful. You are in posession of the Social Hygiene diploma (or willing to finish the exam on a short term basis). Off course you have experience in managing people on a professional level. And experience in the catering industry, your focus is on the customer.
We are affiliated with the catering collective labour agreement (Horeca CAO). The job 'Assistent Bedrijfsmanager' is ranked at scale 7. As a fulltime job the salary starts at 2732.88 euro and ends at 3465.95 euro. The job is for 38 hours per week. Contract is for 6 months. If the job is done well, a new contract will be given when the contract has ended.
Pay: €2.733,00 - €3.466,00 per month
