Accounting Assistant

Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logístical solutions.

Job Summary

Accountant responsibilities include reconciling general ledger account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, creating purchase orders, entering accounts payable invoices, process accounts payable invoices for payment, and supporting in month-end close procedures.

This role is hybrid.

Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders and arrange approvals
- Enter accounts payable invoices, arrange approvals and process for payment
- Reach out to vendors in case of questions about invoices
- Process bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations
- Account for fixed assets and maintain fixed asset register
- Reconcile statements received from vendors to invoices received
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, complete accounts payable, etc. as assigned
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Knowledge of the accounts payable process, including internal controls
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- MBO-administratief niveau 4, with 2-3 years relevant work experience
- Fluent Dutch and English, both written and verbal. German language is a plus
