Newways is the training company at the Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) where we empower fourth-year students with practical skills, immersing them in the pulse of the Tourism, Travel & Events industry. This includes experiential learning, orchestrating fieldwork and study trips, hosting events, and conferences that ignite curiosity and drive growth to the Newways students. Newways spans multiple academies within BUas, as well vibrant collaborations with BCD Travel, a Dutch business travel company, and with external clients.

**About this job**
As a teaching assistant at Newways you will assist the coordinator and supervise students with executing the projects and guiding students on their educational journey. While internal and external clients provide the content, your mission is to ignite inspiration through creative and innovative guiding and supervising for projects, assignments and tools. You will guide and supervise a talented group of twelve to fourteen students.

Supervising students while they work with real-world projects that unfold simultaneously is your challenge. Picture this: guiding students while they advise internal and external clients, negotiate with commissioners and suppliers, craft day-to-day programs for events and conferences and itineraries for fieldwork, and navigate the intricate cooperation with clients and industry relations. You will be backstage at Newways’ grand events - from Industry Days to a wide variety of conferences and symposiums - and preparing students to be ready for organizing fieldwork and study trips across the globe.

Together with the coordinator of Newways and the team of students you aim to cultivate conscious, creative human skills, empowering today’s students to become the changemakers of tomorrow’s dynamic tourism industry.

Your primary mission is to support the development of students across year 4 in our bachelor’s programme. Your multifaceted role involves cooperating with the team to monitor student progress and project groups, co-creating events and fieldwork, facilitating conferences and organising Open Days, and providing constructive feedback and feedforward to students. Your enthusiasm for personal growth, supervising and coaching shines through as you keenly observe group dynamics, address individual learning needs, and motivate students to proactively engage in, and take responsibility for, their own learning journey.

**What do we offer?**
- The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of € 3,370 and a maximum of € 4,582.91 (gross amount based on full-time employment);
- The position is valued in scale 9 of the CAO-HBO (Dutch collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be instructor;
- This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract;
- Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
- You will receive compensation for health insurance;
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and an 8% holiday allowance in May;
- You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;

**What do we ask of you?**
- You have a maximum of five years of working experience in the tourism industry;
