**Job Summary**
The EMEA Logistics supervisor supports Wego’s European Logistics team at our office in Oosterhout, NL. He / She responsible for supporting the Supply Chain organization to drive profitability through data analysis, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
- Identify and track financial key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain organization, including inventory turnover, order fulfillment, and transportation costs.
- Optimizing warehouse network to meet customer expected service levels
- Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics (KPIs), such as on-time delivery, and carrier performance, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, Freight RFPs with transportation service providers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure competitive rates and service quality.
- Research and correct customer problems.
- Monitoring transportation costs.
- Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.
- Maximize routing to ensure deliveries are profitable, timely and efficient.
- Perform annual business review of transport and warehouse providers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for transportation operations.
- Lead process innovation automation, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, improve productivity, across Transportation, Outbound trucking, and Drayage departments.
- Independently organizes, prioritizes, and initiates work activities within established guidelines.
- Compliance with all companywide, local and federal rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement initiatives for supply chain optimization and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and transportation best practices to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Integrate sustainability measures into transportation activities, such as exploring fuel-efficient or electric options and working towards reducing the carbon footprint.
**Key Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field: Logistics, Operations Management, or Supply Chain
- 5+ years of experience in Transportation/Logistics (other Supply Chain Management experience a plus)
- Experience in leading and managing domestic freight RFP.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, carriers, and vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Comfort working with multiple groups within business.
