As a Dutch organization with a single director/owner, we are a financially sound and independent company, in which we even own the real estate. Growth in the Netherlands is our ambition and we opened a new hotel in Amersfoort in February. This is the 34th hotel in our chain.

As a cook, do you prepare and present our guests the most delicious dishes in Bastion Hotel Zaandam? Do you make every meal a delicious experience, but do you also take care of the standards? We are happy to welcome you as our new colleague cook.
**Activities**:
- As a cook you are the first point of contact for employees in the kitchen;
- You are also responsible for the preparation of dishes;
- You are responsible for time management of the incoming receipts. You ensure that these are prepared on a tight schedule, so that all guests can eat well;
- All Bastion Hotels have the same menu;
- You provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen staff;
- You provide a clean kitchen every day that meets the hygiene requirements.
**Must haves**:
- A chef's training (or other relevant training), for example basic cook or cook level 1, 2 or 3 is an advantage but not a must;
- You are at the start of your career, we work a lot with standards and are happy to teach you how to work with our concept;
- You have a great sense of responsibility, you work as a cook together with your team but take the lead if necessary;
- You are communicatively skilled, you provide a nice working atmosphere;
- You work neatly, hygiene in the kitchen is very important to you.
- **Based in the Netherlands.**
**Working environment**:
- As a cook you work 38 hours (5 days a week), you start with an annual contract;
- The working days are mainly from Monday to Thursday. Working hours between 15:30 and 00:00.
- You will receive an attractive salary between € 2408 and € 2603 gross per month, based on 30 hours per week;
- In May you will receive 8% holiday money and we have a travel allowance;
- For working on Saturdays and Sundays you will receive an extra allowance of 20% on top of your gross salary;
- Possibility to obtain your HACCP (food safety certificate) at our expense;
- Nice extras such as a study costs scheme and a bonus scheme
