Are you interested in data management, metadata, and corporate real estate? DSM-Firmenich is offering an exciting internship opportunity with our Global Real Estate and Workplace (GREW) team. Join us for 3 months and assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive data catalog that will serve as a central repository for all key data assets.
**What You’ll Do**
The GREW team is focused on optimizing DSM-Firmenich's real estate portfolio by leveraging data to make informed decisions. To enhance data accessibility and governance, we are developing a comprehensive data catalog that will document and organize our data sources, including property, energy, sustainability, lease, and financial data, making them easily searchable and accessible for stakeholders.
**Project Objectives**
- ** Data Collection & Documentation**:Assist in identifying and cataloging relevant data sources across various GREW functions.
- ** Metadata Development**: Develop and document metadata, including data definitions, owners, refresh schedules, and business context.
- ** Tool Setup & Integration**: Help select and set up appropriate data cataloging tools (e.g., SharePoint or any tool recommended by D&T) or support the development of a custom solution.
- ** Data Classification**:Classify data according to business importance, security level, and user access requirements.
- ** Governance & Maintenance**:Contribute to the creation of data governance policies for catalog maintenance and long-term use.

- ** Field of Study**:Pursuing a degree in Information Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Real Estate, or related fields.
- ** Skills**:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in data organization and management.
- Familiarity with databases, metadata management, or data governance concepts.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of real estate or sustainability data is a plus but not required.
