Miuz is an Italian gelateria located in Amsterdam that produces artisanal gelato from scratch, using only fresh, locally sourced, and selected ingredients. Miuz is committed to contributing to the world by making responsible choices that benefit the environment and its community. The gelateria uses recyclable packaging materials, and works with local suppliers as much as possible to reduce transport emissions and support local businesses. We are on a mission to make people understand what real (high quality) Italian gelato is, and introduce them to the Italian gelato culture.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for a service-oriented professional with a passion for gelato and desserts. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and maintaining our high standards for quality and service at one of our locations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide fast, friendly, personalized service to customers.
- Actively participate in floor operations as needed.
- Ensure a clean and tidy work environment.
- Maintain operational efficiency and 100% occupancy.
- Foster a culture of hospitality and uphold product quality standards.
- Train and lead staff, ensuring service standards are met.
- Full responsibility for location inventory accuracy, counts and orders.
- Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
- Work with the staff to ensure serving instructions are followed properly to ensure a consistent product, over-serving is not occurring and portion control is being followed; address issues if they are found.
- Assist the Store Manager in executing all necessary tasks to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Reside in Amsterdam or nearby towns/cities.
- Maintain a positive company morale and professional attitude.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- **Ability to handle long periods of customer service.**:

- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite or Google Suite.
- 3 years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality (experience in a gelateria is a plus)
- 1 year experience as Supervisor or Manager

Pay: €2.392,00 per month
