The Supply Chain Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the requirements and demands of the IAC. The coordinator needs to work closely with the Supply Chain and Quality teams and the network of Independent Associated Companies to implement policies and processes that support the overall strategies to manage the supply chain effectively and efficiently.** Role and responsibilities**
- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues
- Work in collaboration with other members of the SC team; sharing information providing overview and inputs of logistics requirements for the development of requirements/ proposals.
- Provide hands-on contributions to all logistics matters when mobilizing and implementing new projects.
- Work with Global Quality Assurance to address key excursions, risks and audit findings.
- Ensure cost effective and timely transport of goods to/from all overseas and UK destinations.
- Monitor and manage KPIs - from a service, quality and financial perspective
- Identify opportunities to optimise transport costs through continuous improvement
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps within the in market operations Supply Chain
- Ensure the secure storage and easy retrieval of all related shipping documentation.
- Sign on behalf of the company export documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Liaise with external bodies on behalf of the company as and when necessary.
- With the MDC team agree understanding of current GxP requirements and compliance and export legislation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, regulation and legislation, in particular understand the regulations of controlled drugs in transit and storage
- Periodic review and maintenance of logistics operating procedures in conjunction with Security Operations, Quality and Architecture teams.
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain transactions
- System Oracle

QUALIFICIATIONS
- International Supply Chain and Logistics operations experience.
- Understanding of international trade compliance requirements - Desirable.
- Knowledge in systems and processes for efficient management of shipping and compliance
- Qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain
- Lean Six Sigma - Green or Black Belt - Desirable
- PMP, Prince2 or other Project Management qualification - Desirable
- Good communicator
