**Your role**:
The IGT System Test Automation team is looking for an intern to assist with creation and maintaining virtual testing environments.

This role is focused on reducing R&D costs and increasing verification efficiency for our medical device systems.

You will gain hands-on experience in test automation for healthcare technology, working alongside industry experts to support projects critical to patient safety and regulatory compliance;
- Build and integrate virtual environments into the automated testing ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineers to configure and maintain testing environments that simulate real-world conditions for device functionality, usability, and safety.
- Assist in automating system verification processes, reducing setup time, and ensuring consistency.
- Document processes and configurations to ensure scalability and repeatability across testing setups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the virtual environments and testing infrastructure.

**You're the right fit if**:

- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies, solid programming / scripting ability.
- A strong interest in healthcare technology, quality assurance, and automation,
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail,
- Effective communication skills and able to collaborate in a team environment.

**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
- Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive an allowance pro-rata.
- Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300;
- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255;
- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
- Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192;
- net
- Paid holidays per internship term.
